60 – Impact of treatment of gastroesophageal reflux on obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome.

OSA causa reflusso, reflusso probab peggiora OSA (per arousals da reflusso) .Ipotesi che la terapia del reflusso possa migliorare OSA. Studio male descritto e forse mal progettato: inizio 89 paz OSAHS con PSG, su tutti analisi ph faringe con capsula trans-nasale. 52 GERD, trattati con esomeprazolo 40 m/die per 60-360gg. 14 persi al controllo, 9 ancora presenti >4 episodi di reflusso/24 ore (ma asintomatici) e quindi scartati. Sui 29 rimasti solo 2 avevano AHI <50% e VAS snoring <50%. Però nell’insieme < AHI (29vs38), < ESS (11 vs 14), < VAS (8 vs 10). Conclusione: vale la pena di trattare GERD oltre che OSAHS
